STEVE'S MAGIC (Davisson-J 2020)

STEVE'S MAGIC is a voluptuous 8 inch saturated purple with a huge orchid watermark and a diamond dusted chartreuse throat that starts blooming in the early season and reblooms thru the midseason. Gently ruffled blooms have a waxy, heavy substance that make them sunfast and rainproof. Master seed seller, Steve Todd, made the cross which was my HIGH WATER MARK X Steve's DAVI'S GIFT. Steve gifted me the seeds that became this beauty with line-bred northern hardy genetics that beautifully combine his introduction from TET ROSE F KENNEDY and VICTORIA JOSEPHINE backcrossed with my related lines. Sturdy 32 inch scapes are bud builders with ideal 4- and 5-way branching averaging 26 buds per scape plus another 20 buds on the rebloom scapes. Semi-evergreen foliage is flawless and because it is an easy parent both ways, the genetic potential is leading edge and unlimited. The siblings to STEVE'S MAGIC show tendencies toward pleating in the throat making it a possibility for those working with sculpted/pleated forms. It could easily work with unusual forms and rounder forms as well. Perfect for those working with green throats and fabulous watermarks. STEVE'S MAGIC has a loose, gracefully recurved form with elongated petals and is registered as a large flower rather than an unusual form.
